The difference between the lives of two business people in the computer industry now and 20 years ago.

There is a big difference between these 2 lives. Obviously back 20 years ago, the computers were not as high tech as what we have now. They didn’t have windows back then to use where now we have Windows XP and Vista etc. They didn’t even have the internet to use and browse. So they only used computers to type up documents.

In this picture, you can see that this computer is not as high tech as what we use today. It doesn’t even have a mouse and the screen is so small!

Where as……
Computers nowadays are so much better! We have flat widescreen monitors, graphic cards, speakers, hard-drives, motherboards, and DVD burners etc.

Technology is so important these days with most people on our planet using computers everyday.

Computers are used everyday in life. You see them everywhere at work, schools, home and shops. They are not only used for typing up documents like 20 years ago, they are used for internet browsing, researching, gaming and networking etc.

Back 20 years ago, the computing industry would have been progressing pretty slow but now it’s progressing so fast that scientist say that a super computer will be invented.

Copyright is…a set of rights granted by government for a limited time to protect the particular form, way or manner in which an idea or information is expressed. Copyright may exist in a wide range of creative or artistic form or work, including fictional works, movies, musical works, sound recordings, paintings, photographs, software, and industrial designs. Copyright is a type of logical property.

Computer crime has…decreased over the past year due to strict laws by the government. Computer crime can be hacking, stealing money from credit cards/debit cards over the internet, software piracy and any other misuse of a computer system. Software piracy is a big issue because many people around the world have illegal copies of software that hasn’t been sold in the area yet. Internet banking nowadays is a risk because there is always a chance that your account has been hacked.

Equality is…the principle by which all persons or things under consideration are treated in the same way.

An example of privacy in computers is…showing your personal details and not having others looking at them over the internet.

How computers can predict natural disasters

How computers can predict natural disasters

An example of how computers can predict natural disasters is using satellite images of earth from space. Storm chasers use this to see where tornado’s are going to hit so they can send a tornado warning to let the people who are living around there to have a chance to escape.
